Apply the wrap with the most compression down the foot and less pressure higher up on your leg to keep swelling out of your foot and pumped up to your heart. Apply the wrap with firm compression around the base of your foot. Then apply figure eights around the ankle joint, about 3 to 4 times, as shown in the video. Then begin to do circular motions up the ankle and foot. As you gradually go up your leg lighten up your pressure. Anchor the ace wrap with tape or a clip. The application of this wrap should not increase any pain - if you feel pain, remove the wrap. |
