THIS HURTS!

What hurts...: my knee hurts on the outside, part only after i am done playing basketball, sometimes even when playing.

How you hurt it...: It hurts alot when you bend your knee, but sometimes when you jump.

When you hurt it...: about a year ago, it started to occur but most of the time seemed to go away.

Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): 6.

Your age and overall health...: i am 18 and 6 feet tall. Play alot of basketball.

Any other information you feel is relevant...: i get cracks in my knees and ankles alot. And i ice my knees everytime iam done playing. I also try to strech my hamstrigns and quads really well.

YOUR INJURY COULD BE...

IT Band Syndrome

REHAB YOUR INJURY BY...

IT Band Stretch: Perform this stretch in standing. Cross your left foot over your right foot and bend down reaching back towards your right foot (back foot). You should feel a stretch along the side of your quads and possibly behind your knee.

Massage: Massage along your IT band using your knuckles or a massaging tool or a foam roll which you can roll on.
